Rare antique French bisque head doll made ca. 1915 by Lanternier & Cie Limoges. Character "Toto" mold by Lanternier. She is ca. 15" (38 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. Her head is incised "Depose Toto N3 Al&Cie Limoge". Blue glass fixed eyes. Closed / open mouth with 2 molded teeth. Pierced ears. Old maybe original human hair wig. French wood and composition body in good condition according to the doll's age. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. A small loss of paint on the fingertips of the hands. The doll is dressed in a vintage cotton dress, old leather shoes.
