An amazing antique French bisque head doll made ca. 1880-1890 by Jules Nicholas Steiner. The doll stands 22" (56 cm) tall. The head is marked "A -13 Paris Le Parisien". Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. Big beautiful French fixed glass eyes. Open mouth with teeth. Pierced ears with earrings. Original cardboard pate, a French vintage human hair wig. The doll has an interesting French wood and composition walking body with straight legs and with a red stamp "Bebe Le Parisien".Her body has some areas of age-related wear. With a working voice box inside of her torso. This charming doll wears antique clothing, a silk two piece costume, a silk hat, leather Jumeau shoes.
