Antique German bisque head doll made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1888-1890. The doll stands ca. 18.8" (48 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks or restoration. The head is marked "10-3". Blue glass eyes with fully operational eyes mechanism, original lid paint. Open mouth with two square teeth. Original hard plaster pate. Original mohair wig. Early wood and composition body with round loose ball joints and straight wrists in very good condition. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. The doll wears antique clothing, a silk dress with lace and ribbons, cotton underclothes, a straw hat. Old leather shoes.
