Rare antique German bisque head doll made by Heinrich Handwerck ca. 1900. The doll stands ca. 10" (26 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "199 - 3 Germany". She is an adorable little cabinet size doll in lovely condition! Beautiful deep brown glass sleep eyes with upper and lower painted lashes, eye mechanism is fully operational, original lid wax. An open mouth with 4 tiny teeth. Pierced ears with antique earrings. Old human hair wig. The doll has an original hard plaster pate with a "2/0 199" mark and an original mohair wig. Wood and composition body in good condition. The doll wears antique clothing, antique maybe original silk organza dress with embroidery, cotton underwear, silk shoes, a straw hat.
