Rare antique bisque head doll made by Baehr & Proeschild ca. 1905-1910 for Russian market. The doll stands 14.5" (37 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "449 2 ф". She has blue glass sleep eyes with original lid paint and fully operational eye mechanism, an open mouth. Pierced ears with earrings. An old human hair wig. Her original wood and composition body is in good condition, according to the doll's age. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. This amazing doll wears an antique outfit, a traditional Russian headdress – kokoshnik, a batiste blouse, a cotton, a serafan dress. Woven bead collar, thread of red beads. Old leather boots.
