Antique German bisque head doll made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1898-1902. The doll stands 22.5" (57 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "J½ Made in Germany 10½ 167". Blue glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth. Old human hair wig. Original hard plaster pate. Wood and composition body in good condition. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. The doll wears antique clothing, cotton underwear, a silk dress with lace. An old straw hat with flowers, leather shoes.
