Very rare antique German bisque head doll was made ca. 1888. Her bisque head is by Simon & Halbig. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. She is marked "938 - 12". The doll stands 22.8" (58 cm) tall. Her bisque head has no hairlines only a tiny chip at her right eye. She has big glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. This doll has a closed mouth. Pierced ears with earrings. An old mohair wig. Her wood and composition body is in good condition. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. The doll wears old clothing, a velvet dress with silk, cotton underclothes, a bonnet with lace, old oilcloth shoes.
