Rare antique German bisque head doll by Heinrich Handwerck known as Gibson Girl (mold number 1159) made ca. 1894-1898. Her bisque head is made by Simon & Halbig. The doll is ca. 20 ½" (52 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "1159 Germany Simon Halbig 8 S&H".
Blue glass eyes with fully operational eye mechanism, original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Pierced earlobes with earrings. An antique human hair wig.
An original wood and composition lady body in very good condition with original finish, no repair and a Heinrich Handwerck mark "Heinrich Handwerck Germany 2".
