The head of this antique doll was made in Germany by Simon & Halbig for Jumeau. This 25.5" (65 cm) doll was made ca. 1894-1898 in France. Her head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. She is marked "DEP 11". Glass eyes with fully operational eye mechanism, original lid paint. She has lost some of her natural eyelashes. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Old human hair wig. Pierced ears with earrings. French original wood and composition body in good condition. There is a non-functioning voice box in her torso. The doll wears antique clothing, a silk dress, a lace bonnet, cotton underclothes, old oilcloth shoes. An antique brooch.
