Very rare antique German bisque head doll made by Schoenau & Hoffmeister (Burggrub) ca.1931-1933. The doll stands ca. 16" (40 cm) tall. Her bisque head is marked "Porzellanfabrik Burggrub Princess Elizabeth 3½ D.R.G.M. Made in Germany". Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. A small rub mark on her cheek. The Princess Elizabeth doll was modelled on the Queen Elizabeth II in 1929 when she was aged three. The doll stands 15.7" (40 cm) tall.
Original blonde mohair wig, blue sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism, natural eyelashes, her original lid paint is in a good condition, an open mouth with 4 teeth.
Original wooden and composition 5-piece body in good condition. The doll wears original clothing and original shoes.
