Antique German bisque head doll made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1898-1902. Mold 164. The doll stands ca. 24.4" (62 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "K Made in Germany 14 164". Big brown glass eyes with fully operational eyes mechanism, original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Original hard plaster pate. Original blonde mohair wig. Wood and composition body in good condition with a red stamped "Germany 5" mark. The doll wears antique clothing, a silk dress, a lace bonnet, cotton underclothes, leather shoes. A brooch with a picture of a little girl.
