Antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1900-1902 by Heinrich Handwerck. The doll stands 24.4" (62 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "109 13¾". Big deep brown glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Old human hair wig. Pierced earlobes with earrings. Wood and composition body in good condition with a red stamped "Handwerck" mark. Some repaint on the leg. The doll wears an antique cotton dress and a blouse, cotton underclothes, a silk hat and antique leather shoes. (2094)
