Early rare antique German wax over paper mache doll made ca. 1860-1880. Her head is unmarked. This doll is 15.7 inches (40 cm) tall. The doll with cloth stuffed body with paper mache head and shoulder plate covered with wax. Composition arms and legs also covered with wax. There is a non functioning voice box in her torso. She is in good condition for her age. She does have a few scuffs and you can see her condition by pictures. The doll has has blue glass fixed eyes. An original mohair wig, which was glued to the head. This elegant lady wears antique clothing, a flannel and silk jacket, a silk skirt with lace, a silk hat.
