This ca. 17" (43 cm) tall antique German bisque head doll was made by Baehr & Proeschild ca. 1892-1895. Mold number 289. The bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. Her bisque head is marked "289 dep 7". Blue glass fixed sleep eyes. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Pierced ears with earrings. An old mohair wig. The doll has an early wood and composition body with straight wrists and original finish in good condition. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. The doll wears antique clothing, a two piece costume, a hat decorated with flowers, cotton underclothes. Old oilcloth shoes. A cute cardboard bag.
