Early antique German bisque head doll made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1880. The doll stands 13.3" (34 cm) tall. She is an adorable little cabinet size doll in lovely condition. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "8". Glass eyes with fully operational eyes mechanism, original lid paint. Cute chubby cheeks. Pouty closed mouth – a very cute facial expression! Original hard plaster pate. Antique maybe original mohair wig. Original early wood and composition body in good condition. This adorable doll wears antique clothing, a brownish velvet jacket, a thin wool dress, cotton underclothes and a straw hat decorated with flowers. Antique leather shoes.
