Antique German bisque head doll made by Alt, Beck & Gottschalck ca. 1912. Mold 1362 - Sweet Nell. The doll stands ca. 19.6" (50 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "ABG 1362 Made in Germany 2".
She has beautiful grey glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Original mohair wig. Pierced ears with antique earrings.
Composition and wood body in good condition, with no repair. Her body has some age-related wear. The doll wears vintage and antique clothing, a vintage silk dress, cotton underclothes. An antique necklace with a pendant. The doll got second place at the "Jamestown Doll Show" 1995.
