A very rare antique wax doll - a half-doll, made ca. 1870-1890. An example of Monastery work. The size of the doll with the stand is ca. 13" (33 cm). The head and hands of the doll are made of solid wax, finely detailed facial features. The wax is in good condition with minor temporal wear. Cloth body. The doll is mounted on a wooden stand. The doll wears a complete set of antique clothing for a Catholic nun. Attached to the belt are a church vessel, a bunch of keys, rosary beads, and a cross. The clothing is sewn and non-removable.
