Antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1905-1910 made by Theodor Recknagel. His bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "1909 DEP R 4/0 A ". The doll stands 14.5" (37 cm) tall. Blue glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Original mohair wig. Five piece wood and composition body. The clown wears old clothing, which is sewn on. Old cardboard shoes.
