Rare antique German bisque head doll made by Schoenau & Hoffmeister (Burggrub) ca.1931-1933. The doll stands ca. 22 ½" (57 cm) tall. The Princess Elizabeth Doll is very hard to find in this big size! Her bisque head is marked "Porzellanfabrik Burggrub Princess Elizabeth 6½ Made in Germany". Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The Princess Elizabeth doll was modelled on the Queen Elizabeth II in 1929 when she was aged three. Original blond mohair wig, sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism, natural eyelashes, her original lid paint is in a good condition, an open smiling mouth with 4 teeth. Jointed wooden and composition 5-piece body in good condition. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. The doll wears an original dress, underclothes, original oilcloth shoes. A string of beads.
