Antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1880 by Johann Daniel Kestner. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "15". The doll stands ca 22.8" (58 cm) tall.
Expressive brown glass sleep eyes with fully operational eyes mechanism and original lid paint. Closed mouth. Hard plaster pate. Original human hair wig.
Early wooden and composition body in good condition with some repaint on the joints of the legs and fingers of one hand. Her body has some areas of age-related wear.
The clothing is entirely antique, consisting of cotton underwear, a batiste dress, a velvet hat, and a velvet muff. Leather boots. On the chest, there is a chain made of German gold of 333 purity with red stones.
