This antique German bisque head doll was made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1897-1900. Mold number 129. This doll measures 20.8" (53 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "J Made in Germany 12 129". Beautiful brown glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Original hard plaster pate, has never been removed. I will carefully remove the plaster pate for transportation. Original mohair wig. Wood and composition Excelsior body in very good condition with a red stamped "Excelsior D. R. P. No. 70685 Germany" mark. The doll wears antique clothing, cotton underclothes, a two piece dress, a straw hat and a bag. Antique leather shoes.
