Rare antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1870-1885. The manufacturer is unknown, as markings are absent, which is common for such early dolls. Marked with size "3". The doll stands ca 12" (30 cm) tall. She has a belton type head with two holes. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. Blue glass fixed eyes. Closed mouth. Original antique mohair wig. Pierced ears with earrings. Original wood and composition body in good condition according to the doll's age. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. Vintage clothing made from antique fabrics, a silk two-piece costume, cotton underwear, a straw hat. Leather shoes. An antique metal chain with a pendant.
