A very rare German antique doll from the Fritz Bartenstein factory. The doll features a rotating wax head with two faces — one smiling and one angry. A patent for the production of such dolls, under number DRP 11 961, was issued in 1880. The head is attached to a papier-mâché shoulder plate and has a rotating mechanism located within the doll’s body. When the cord is pulled, the head turns and the face changes. At the same time, a "ma-ma" sound is produced. The voice mechanism is fully functional. The doll measures 46 cm. The wax head is in perfect condition — no cracks, chips, or restorations. Glass eyes, mohair hair. Original papier-mâché bonnet. The body is fabric with composite limbs, in very good condition. The body bears the factory stamp: “Patentiert in Deutschland” (Patented in Germany). The doll comes with its complete antique outfit: a cotton dress and underwear, along with leather shoes.
