This ca. 23.6" (60 cm) antique German bisque head doll was made by Heinrich Handwerck ca. 1895-1900. Her bisque head is by Simon & Halbig. Her head is free of damage or repair, no cracks or restoration. The head is marked "Germany Heinrich Handwerck Simon & Halbig 4". On the forehead the doll is marked with "W". German word "Wimpern" stands for eyelashes. Unfortunately the doll has lost her original eyelashes. Blue glass sleep eyes with upper and lower painted lashes, eye mechanism is fully operational, original lid wax. An open mouth with 4 teeth. Old human hair wig. Pierced ears with earrings. The doll has a metal spring strung wood and composition body, which is in good condition. This cute girl wears antique clothing, a white cotton dress, a white polka dot apron, antique leather shoes. An old brooch.
