French antique mechanical toy — a semi-automaton, produced around 1900. The platform features a musician doll with a bisque head. The bisque is intact, with no damage, cracks, or chips. The head is marked with “0”. The doll has fixed French blue eyes and a mohair wig. Closed mouth. The legs are made of composite material, and the arms are wooden.
The doll is mounted on a wooden base with metal wheels. The mechanism is functional: when set in motion, the doll beats a drum. The bells on its head ring. The clothing is original, non-removable, and sewn onto the doll’s body. This is a museum piece that previously belonged to the Doll Museum in the city of Graz. Dimensions: Base length – 8.3" (21 cm), Width – 4.3" (11 cm), Height – 15" (38 cm)
