This rare antique German doll was made ca. 1892-1895. Her bisque head is by Simon & Halbig. There is a tiny flake on the doll's right upper eyelid. But otherwise her head is in good condition, no repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked ''979 9''. The doll stands ca. 16'' (40 cm) tall. She has beautiful blue glass sleep eyes, with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with two upper and one lower square cut teeth, pierced earlobes with earrings. Early Waltershausen wood and composition loose-ball-jointed body in very good condition. The right hand and knees have minor professional restoration. An antique human wig. She wears an antique batiste dress, a straw hat and leather shoes. (1785)
