Antique French marotte bisque head doll made by Francois Gaultier in the late 19th century. Doll measures 12.6" (32 cm) long from top of head to bottom of handle. Her bisque shoulder head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The shoulder plate is marked "F4/0 G". Glass fixed eyes. Closed mouth. Pierced earlobes with earrings. Old mohair wig. The stick is wooden. When the marotte is spun, a melody plays. The costume is made of silk and is entirely antique.
