Antique French bisque head doll made ca. 1915-1920 by Lanternier & Cie. The bisque head with shoulder plate are free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "Fabrication Française AL & Cie Limoges Cherie". The doll stands ca. 17.3" (44 cm) tall.
Blue glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and painted upper and lower lashes. Her eyes retain full eyelid paint. She has an open mouth with molded teeth. Pierced ears with earrings. Old mohair wig.
The doll has a nice leather body in good condition according to its age. Some worn spots and some repair. Her lower legs are made of fabric. No leakage of sawdust. Her bisque hands have no damage.
This cute doll wears an antique silk dress with lace, cotton underclothes, an antique necklace and a small bag made of seashell.
