Rare antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1890 by C.F. Kling. She has a belton type head with one hole and a shoulder plate. Her bisque head and shoulder plate are free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The shoulder plate is marked "162 bell 7". The doll stands ca. 18" (46 cm) tall. Very beautiful blue glass fixed eyes. Closed mouth. An antique mohair wig.
Original leather body in good condition, with reinforced leather at the shoulders. A very beautiful doll with expressive eyes, dressed in a traditional gypsy-style costume. The clothing is antique and possibly original: a silk skirt, a silk scarf tied at the waist, a velvet vest, cotton undergarments, and old leather shoes.
