Very rare antique bisque head doll Jumeau Bebe Phonographe made ca. 1893 by Jumeau in collaboration with Lioret. The doll stands ca. 24.4" (62 cm) tall. Her bisque head with an original metal spring inside is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "Depose Tete Jumeau 11".
Blue French fixed glass eyes, pierced ears with earrings, open mouth with molded teeth. An original cork pate and a mohair wig.
French wood and composition body with an functioning Jumeau/Lioret patented talking Key-wind mechanism and with a cylinder record. The plate with sound holes is not original. Her body has some areas of age-related wear.
This amazing doll wears an original cotton dress, antique cotton underclothes, old leather shoes. An old hat and an antique silver brooch with 835 mark.
