Small French antique bisque head doll made by Jules Nicholas Steiner ca. 1880. The doll stands ca. 7.8" (20 cm) tall. Her bisque head has no visible damage, the head is marked "J Steiner Paris Fre A1". Blue glass fixed eyes, closed mouth, a small rub mark on the nose. There are some dark dots on the face of the doll. It must have occurred with the original firing of the head.
Wood and composition body with straight legs and jointed elbows. Her feet and hands show some paint touch-up. This tiny cutie is dressed as Easter Bunny, the costume is old, maybe original. The costume is made of white plush and is sewn on. An antique silk bow with two tiny metal bells is attached to the doll's chest. Such cute decoration piece for your Easter or to display with your dolls!
