Daisy Johann Daniel Kestner 171 Antique German Bisque Head Doll

Very rare antique German bisque head doll made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1910-1911. Mold number 171, also known as Daisy. The doll stands 17.7" (45 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "G½ Made in Germany 7½ 171 10".

Beautiful blue glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Old blonde mohair wig. Original hard plaster pate.

Wood and composition body in good condition with a red stamped "Germany 1 1/2" mark.

This small beauty wears old clothing, a pale rose silk dress, cotton underclothes, straw hat decorated with flowers, old oilcloth shoes.
