Antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1897 by Johann Daniel Kestner. The bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "h made in Germany 4/0 155". This tiny doll stands only ca. 7.8" (20 cm) tall. Glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original eye lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Original hard plaster pate and an original mohair wig, showing some signs of age. Original wood and composition body with molded and painted shoes in good condition. The doll wears antique clothing, a silk dress, a bonnet and cotton underclothes.
