Antique German bisque head doll made by Johann Daniel Kestner ca. 1897-1898. Mold 143. The doll stands ca. 10" (26 cm) tall. Bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. She is marked "b made in Germany 3".
Stunning blue glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. Her eyelid paint has been restored. Painted lower and upper eyelashes. Open mouth with 2 teeth. Antique blonde mohair wig, cardboard pate. Wood and composition body in good condition with an original body finish. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. The doll wears old clothing, a silk organza dress, cotton underclothes, antique leather shoes. The doll is accompanied by her cute dog, the dog stands ca. 2.7" (7 cm) tall.
