A large antique German half doll made of bisque porcelain. The bust was produced in the first half of the last century. The lower part consists of a fabric-covered frame. These types of dolls were placed over a teapot to help keep the tea warm during tea time — which is how they got their name. The total height of the doll, including the skirt, is 13.4 inches (34 cm). The porcelain has some flaws: a restored crack and a chip on one arm, and damaged fingers on one hand. The original wig is glued to the head. The arms are movable. The doll wears an antique wine-colored velvet skirt, adorned with decorative trim.
