A very rare antique German character doll, produced between 1912 and 1915. Bisque head with molded hair, painted eyes, and closed mouth. The bisque is in perfect condition, without chips, cracks, or restoration. Slight paint wear on the doll’s cheeks. The back of the neck is marked "H 126" presumably by Hertel, Schwab & Co.
The doll measures 30 cm in height. Fully jointed wood and composition body. Antique clothing, sewn onto the doll’s body. The drum of this proud hussar is also antique. Leather shoes.
