French Antique bisque head doll made by Jumeau ca. 1880-1890. The doll stands 15.7" (40 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "9". Her bisque head is probably made by one of the Sonneberg manufacturer in Germany. A small rub mark on her nose.
French glass blue fixed eyes. Pierced ears with earrings. Closed mouth. Cork pate and an antique mohair wig. French wood and composition body in good condition with a "Jumeau Medaille D'Or Paris" label. The doll wears old clothing, a silk dress with lace, cotton underclothes, a silk hat. Old oilcloth shoes.
