Antique French bisque head doll made ca. 1880 by Jumeau. The doll stands 19.6" (50 cm) tall. Her bisque socket head has no damage except a small firing line at the crown rim. She is in otherwise wonderful condition. The head is marked "Tete Jumeau 9". Fixed deep blue glass eyes. Closed mouth. Pierced ears with earrings. French original cork pate. Original human hair wig.
French wood and composition body in very good condition with a blue stamped "Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris" mark on the back. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. There used to be a working voice box inside of her torso, but now the pull cords are missing.
This beautiful doll wears an antique silk dress and a bonnet, antique cotton underclothes, old leather shoes, an old mother of pearl bag.
