Early rare antique English wax doll ca. 1870-1880. This doll is 22.8 inches (58 cm) tall. Her head with a shoulder plate are made of hard wax, very fine facial features. The wax is in good condition, some rub marks, which is totally normal according to the doll's age. Blue sleep glass eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. The blonde mohair inserted individually and is still full. Original cloth stuffed body. The doll wears antique outfit, her dress is wonderful, however fragile and splitting. A velvet hat decorated with wax flowers, a full set of cotton underclothes, her shoes are sewn to her feet. A velvet bag.
