Rare antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1870-1885 made in Sonneberg by an unknown maker. The doll stands ca 15" (38 cm) tall. Her bisque head is marked "137". She has a belton type head with two holes. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. Grey glass fixed eyes. Closed mouth. Old mohair wig.Original Sonneberg wood and composition body in good condition. Some touch up in the neck area. Her body has some areas of age-related wear. This amazing doll wears antique clothing, a two piece costume, a silk hat, cotton underclothes, antique leather shoes, necklace with pendant.
