A rare antique doll with a bisque head made at the Baehr & Proeschild factory in the early 20th century for export to Russia. The size of this wonderful doll is 38 cm. The bisque head is in perfect condition, without cracks or restoration. Glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. Open mouth with 6 teeth. The head is marked by the manufacturer “449 2 Ф”. The wooden and composition body is in good condition. Original mohair wig with braids. Antique Russian costume. Condition is good, according to the doll’s age. The skirt, lined with natural fur, and the headdress are decorated with metallic braid and sequins. Cotton underwear. Leather shoes. On the chest an antique silver medallion on a chain and an ermine stole. The doll comes from a private collection.
