Antique Bisque Head Doll Baehr & Proeschild 444

Antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1905-1910. Her bisque head is made by Bahr & Proschild. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The only issue is a small chip on the crown rim, possibly from production. The head is marked "444 7". The doll stands 28.3" (46 cm) tall. The doll has deep brown glass eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Pierced earlobes with earrings. Old mohair wig. The wooden-composite body is of a rare type and was originally designed to include a voice mechanism (now missing). The body is in good condition. The doll is dressed entirely in antique clothing: a nun-pilgrim costume, cotton undergarments, and antique woven sandal-clogs. A rosary and a cross hang around her neck.
