A rare antique German bisque head doll made by Armand Marseille ca. 1899-1900. The doll stands ca. 17.7" (45 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. This beautiful doll has blue glass eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. Antique mohair wig. French wood and composition body in good condition with a working voice box. The doll wears a clown or polichinelle vintage outfit made of antique fabrics. The doll is sewn into this costume.
