Antique German bisque head doll made ca. 1910 by Franz Schmidt. This is a rare character mold #1272. The doll stands 11" (28 cm) tall. His bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "S & Co 1272/28 Deponiert". Glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. Open mouth with 2 teeth and a movable tongue. Old mohair wig. Composition and wood toddler body in good condition, according to the doll's age. This cute boy wears vintage clothing: a sailor suit made of cotton and leather boots.
